The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex was pleased to re-open for limited programming on June 5, as Butler County and southwestern Pennsylvania went “green.”
The health and safety of our athletes, coaches, staff and guests is our top priority, and we have implemented a series of health and sanitation policies and procedures for all to follow. They rely on the core principles of physical distancing, reduced use of shared objects and spaces, rigorous cleaning and disinfection procedures, and the prioritization of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Temperature checks and masks are required for everyone entering the facility.
The first group to take the ice over the weekend was the DICK’S Sports Goods Pittsburgh Penguins Elite youth hockey program.
The facility is not yet open to the general public, and guests and spectators are not permitted at this time.
