On top of their division one entry, the newly minted millionaires entered a System 8 QuickPick which scored them division three prizes another seven times, taking their winnings to $12,582,613.74.
The total prize for each player was $1,258,261.37.
A humble gift shop on the coastal town of Portland sold the tickets to the regulars, who have been in the running every week for years.
Having recently bought the store, owner Matt Jowett says the win was a “monumental” moment for him.
“The outlet has been here for about 40 years, and they have sold plenty of division one winning entries during that time, but it’s pretty exciting to have sold one as the new owner,” Mr Jowett said.
The group’s weekly games include TattsLotto, Monday and Wednesday Lotto, Oz Lotto and Powerball.
“As far as I know, this is the first major prize the syndicate has won,” Mr Jowett said.
The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer encouraged any member of the group with an unregistered entry to come forward and claim their winning share.
“If you purchased a share in a syndicate entry from Matt’s Lotto, Gifts and Cards, today’s the day to check it,” Ms Spencer said.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1383 last night were 45, 43, 10, 22, 26, 12 and 21.
The supplementary numbers were 19 and 1.
