With the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) having already been lifted in Metro Manila and other nearby areas, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Wednesday its gaming operations will resume starting today.
In a public advisory, PCSO announced that effective August 19, the selling of tickets for lotto jackpot-bearing games such as Lotto 6/42, Mega Lotto 6/46, Super Lotto 6/49, Grand Lotto 6/55 and Ultra lotto 6/58, as well as the Online Keno and Sweepstakes shall resume in the National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal, in addition to the areas under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) and Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) areas.
The PCSO reminded that health protocols mandated by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) such as physical distancing and the wearing of face masks as cited in Lotto Circular No. 2020-004 should be strictly observed at ticketing outlets.
PCSO noted that the selling period of tickets is from 7 am to 8 pm. The draw will be conducted at 9 pm.
PCSO noted the Small Town Lottery (STL) games “have not yet resumed.”
The PCSO, on Aug. 3, suspended all lotto and digit games after the MECQ was enforced in the NCR and other nearby provinces from August 4 to August 18. The suspension of gaming operations included ticket selling, ticket validation, prize claiming and the conduct of daily draws.
