The Kansas Lottery reported Thursday that a northeast Kansas player started the Fourth of July weekend off with a bang thanks to a $200,000 Powerball win.
The player’s Powerball ticket matched four of five numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000. The player also added the Power Play multiplier for an additional $1, and that boosted the winnings to $200,000.
The winning numbers for Wednesday were 15, 28, 52, 53, 63 and a Powerball of 18.
The northeast Kansas region includes the following counties: Marshall, Nemaha, Brown, Doniphan, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Atchison, Geary, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Jefferson, Leavenworth, Wyandotte, Johnson, Osage, Douglas, Franklin, Miami, Morris and the northern half of Lyon.
The next Powerball drawing, with a jackpot of $60 million, will be Saturday.
