HUNT FOR WINNERS
And a north Dublin store sold a winning Daily Million worth €500,000 in today’s draw – months after selling a €1 million ticket.
The top prize of €500,000, from today’s 2pm Daily Million Plus draw was won by a lucky person who purchased their ticket at the Spar store on the New Cabra Road, Cabra, Dublin 7.
Back in April this year, this same Spar in Cabra sold a Lotto ticket worth €1 million.
Speaking on selling this winning Daily Million Plus ticket, Mark Magennis, co-owner of the Spar in Cabra said: “I’m shocked that we sold a big winner so soon after selling the last one but absolutely delighted for another one of our customers.
“My staff and I will be spreading the word to our locals about this latest win and encouraging them to check their tickets again.
“They’ll probably think it’s a wind up. We’d like to wish the very best of luck to the winner, whoever they are, and you never know – our shop could get lucky for a third time very soon!”
The winning numbers from today’s Daily Million Plus draw are: 03, 11, 18, 19, 25, 33 and the bonus number is: 21.
Meanwhile, two Irish players were celebrating after scooping new fortunes in last night’s EuroMillions.
Two lucky Dublin punters won €500,000 and €337,000 prizes in Friday’s draw.
The €500,000 Plus winner bagged their ticket at Mace on the Kimmage Road Lower, while the winner who landed €337,142 after matching five numbers and one bonus ball in the main draw bought their lucky slip at Centra on the Main Street in Howth.
The National Lottery has appealed for Dublin players to check their tickets.
They said: “It would have been fantastic to get Ireland’s sixteenth EuroMillion jackpot winner last night and one person in North Dublin was so close to doing that.
