The NBA Playoffs are underway from Orlando, which means we are quickly closing in on the 2020 NBA Draft. With nearly two months remaining until the draft, the first-round selection order is not yet locked in, but the top 14 draft slots will be determined on Thursday evening at the NBA Draft Lottery.
Every team that missed the NBA Playoffs has a shot to win the No. 1 overall pick, but the best odds belong to the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves, who each have a 14 percent chance to win the lottery.
With that in mind, CBS Sports’ Kyle Boone released an updated mock draft on Tuesday, projecting each of the 30 first-round picks heading into the NBA Draft Lottery. The mock draft featured a new player at No. 1 overall.
Twenty-one college basketball programs are represented in the updated mock draft, including three schools with multiple projected first-rounders. The remaining six players in the mock draft spent last season playing overseas.
The 2020 NBA Draft will be conducted virtually on Oct. 16 and it will be televised on ESPN.
